Are you a mental health professional interested in using Lasting with your clients?
We love partnering with professionals in the mental health field! Research shows that optimal efficacy in therapy happens with a combination of in-person and telemental health, so we know that together, our work can transform relationships.
Here’s how we recommend you use Lasting in your practice:
Identify Growth Areas
Use our library of sessions to help your couples identify which areas of their relationship they’d like to work on. Right away, they take an assessment that will determine their strength and growth areas, so it’s an easy way to find out what topics your couple feels motivated to tackle together.
If your clients like homework, assign 1-2 Lasting sessions between in-person sessions. Then use these as starting points in your next therapy session.
Supplement Your Approach
When your couples hit a block or barrier to communication, Lasting is a great resource to get them back on track. Our coach feature allows them to start conversations in-app based on the series they’re taking and helps them talk through growth and strength areas together.
You can also ask your clients to choose their direction out-of-session. In-session, you can discuss their experience and what it brought up for them during the week.
Open the app in therapy sessions with your clients! It’s powerful to have couples complete exercises together in front of you and talk through their answers. The app allows paired partners to compare responses at any time, but we know that facilitating these conversations in-person is a powerful part of change.
Offer Lasting to couples who cannot afford in-person therapy. Lasting is a cost and time-effective option, and we're offering a mental health professional discount for you to share with your clients.
Please reach out with feedback, questions, or comments to Liz Colizza, LPC, Head of Research & Programs. email@example.com. We love hearing from our partners!
Who We Are
Lasting is a group of men and women who are passionate about marriage, backed by the The Knot, the leading wedding resource.
It's hard to talk about who we are without talking about our founder, Steve Dziedzic. In 2013, working at The Knot, Steve began helping 80% of America's engaged couples get married. Through the lens of this wedding brand behemoth, Steve realized that it was possible to reach the vast majority of America's couples through technology.
In 2016, Steve became the first-ever Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The Knot and embarked on an in-depth, scientific plunge into marriage. He became a certified relationship coach and a Gottman-trained Bringing Baby Home educator and read 300+ scientific studies on marriage and long-term relationships. These events led to the genesis of Lasting.
His wife, Rebecca, helped him at every step of the way. Read their story.
In 2017, Steve and Rebecca also teamed up with a remarkable Marriage Researcher and Therapist named Liz Colizza.
Liz is a seasoned clinician and became Lasting's Head of Marriage Research and Programs. Together, this group rooted the Lasting program in scientific, data-based methods.
